‘The Last of Us Part I’ PC Release Date Confirmed

An official release date for the highly anticipated PC version of The Last of Us Part I has finally been confirmed. As a part of The Game Awards this evening, the news broke that the game will be available for Windows users on March 3, 2023.

The PlayStation 5 remake of Naughty Dog’s award-winning 2013 action-adventure game initially arrived back in September with promises that a PC version was on the way.

The Last of Us follows its weary protagonist, Joel, a man who’s hired to smuggle a 14-year-old girl, Ellie, out of a military zone. However, this small job eventually becomes a brutal cross-country journey as the pair makes their way through a ravaged civilization where infected and hardened survivors run rampant.

The game was completely rebuilt from the ground up for PlayStation 5, offering players a total overhaul of the original experience with a faithful reproduction that incorporates modernized gameplay mechanics, improved controls, and expanded accessibility options.

A television adaptation of the game, which was developed in collaboration with Naughty Dog, is coming to HBO on January 15, 2023. Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey will take on the roles of Joel and Ellie, respectively. In case you missed it, check out our breakdown of the show’s trailer here.
