D23 will welcome Disney fans to the historical Walt Disney Studios Lot in Burbank, California with the official tour. Members will have the opportunity to see and hear about historic Disney moments. Whether it is about classic movies, theme parks, or television shows, fans will get all the behind-the-scenes scoop. One extra special experience will be taking a look inside the Disney Archives, a place that holds some of Disney’s most treasured artifacts. Alongside the archives, lucky members will be able to visit Walt Disney’s office suite and see where all the magic happened.

During this historic 100th anniversary there are several fan-favorite movie milestones happening. D23 will celebrate several of these with in-person events. These special milestones included Finding Nemo‘s 20th, Mulan‘s 25th, and Who Framed Roger Rabbit‘s 35th anniversary. These iconic and memorable films will get extra-special experiences and even more magic for D23 members. We can’t forget this Halloween when there will be even more milestones! Cult favorite turned mainstream sensation Hocus Pocus‘s 30th, Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas‘s 30th, and last but certainly not least Halloweentown will be turning 25. I’m sure many spooky celebratory plans are in motion for the upcoming Halloween season.

The magic is also returning the the theater with exclusive D23 experiences. The North American tours of Disney’s The Lion King and Frozen will be offering remarkable events that include, special ticket packages and post-show Q&As with cast members. The first event will take place in Los Angeles with The Lion King and in Costa Mesa, California, with Frozen. Soon an unprecedented opportunity will be available with the cast of Disney’s Hercules during the opening of the show at the Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey.

One experience that is being offered is to take a walk down Walt Disney’s childhood main street. Walt was often quoted as saying this charming Missouri town was one of his greatest influences. The lovely main thoroughfare is clearly the inspiration for Disneyland’s Main Street. D23 members can have a chance to return to this special place in June of next year for a special hometown event. Fans will also be able to look forward to D23 gold member previews of the traveling exhibits through Walt Disney Archives. As always there will be advance and opening night screenings of new Disney films for D23 gold members.
