Paramount+’s entertaining new crime drama Tulsa King will be returning for a second season.

Tulsa King follows New York mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi (Sylvester Stallone), just after he is released from prison after 25 years and unceremoniously exiled by his boss to set up shop in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Realizing that his mob family may not have his best interests in mind, Dwight slowly builds a “crew” from a group of unlikely characters to help him establish a new criminal empire in a place that to him might as well be another planet.

Alongside Stallone, the series also stars Andrea Savage, Max Casella, Martin Starr, Domenik Lombardozzi, Vincent Piazza, Jay Will, Garrett Hedlund, A.C. Peterson, and Dana Delany.

Earlier this month, Paramount+ announced a record number of subscriber sign-ups in a single day since the launch of the streaming service, a milestone that coincided with the series premiere of Tulsa King (alongside the platform’s continued offering of NFL on CBS).

Tulsa King is created by Yellowstone‘s Taylor Sheridan. Terence Winter (The SopranosThe Wolf of Wall Street) serves as showrunner and writer. The series is executive produced by Sheridan, Winter, Stallone, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, David Hutkin, Allen Coulter and Braden Aftergood.
