It’s been the highs and lows of Riverdale for several years now, and soon it’ll be coming to an end. With the seventh and final season of The CW drama airing in 2023, production has officially started.

Riverdale writer Ted Sullivan posted a teaser of the first shot of the final season on Instagram, getting pretty emotional in the caption while also promising a great season ahead. And it also seems like the title card will be a tad different to correlate with the new setting.

Season 6 of Riverdale ended on a pretty big cliffhanger when the comet, combined with all of the gang’s powers thanks to Cheryl, blasted them to the 1950s, where they are once again back in high school. Not much is known about the final season, but it’s clear that it’s going to be different than anyone has ever seen.
