New ‘Serengeti Flyer’ Attraction Coming to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay in 2023

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has announced that the new Serengeti Flyer attraction will open in spring 2023.

Serengeti Flyer will consist of twin dueling arms where guests will be seated back-to-back in rows of 10 across in two gondolas. The arms will sway back and forth, and guests who are brave enough will be swung higher and higher, experiencing multiple negative-G moments before being sent soaring back toward the Earth. It will be the tallest and fastest ride of its kind, reaching 68 mph and a height of 135 feet.

Serengeti Flyer’s thrilling ride experience is bound to provide riders with a pulse-pounding encounter that can only be found at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay,” said Neal Thurman, Park President of Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. “We believe that Serengeti Flyer will be the perfect high-thrill addition to our world-class portfolio of attractions, including Iron Gwazi, the Golden Ticket Award Winner for the Best New Roller Coaster in 2022.”

The thrilling attraction is set to open in spring 2023. Busch Gardens Tampa Bay annual pass holders will be among the first to experience it. For more information or to get your theme park tickets now, make sure to head over to the Busch Gardens Tampa Bay website.
