‘Fantasmic!’ Is Returning to Disney

Countless Disney fans have been waiting to hear the news of Fantasmic! returning. The wait is officially over; on November 3, the one-of-a-kind, open-air nighttime musical will be back in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!

Fantasmic! brings a spectacular musical performance to the parks that consist of live performers, jaw-dropping effects, show-stopping music, and the famous pyrotechnics the show is known for. Alongside the numbers fans know and love, a new show sequence has been added.

This new sequence puts the focus on some of our favorite heroes. Fan favorite street rat- turned-prince Aladdin will bring incredible chase scenes and stunts to the stage. While powerful snow queen Elsa will bring an emotional version of “Show Yourself” to life. Joining with their own emotional story moments will be Pocahontas, Moana, and Mulan. Disney wanted to make sure the Mulan martial arts added to the show were authentic, so they brought back Mimi Chan. Mimi was the original model that animators used for reference while making the film.

With new scenes, updated lights, lasers, and sound, it’s safe to say that Fantasmic! will be worth the wait. Will all these additions help Mickey to withstand the dark forces trying to enter his dreams? Cast members will be the first to find out when they get a special preview. If you are planning to head to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to see the show be on the lookout for some special packages. Starting October 26, Fantasmic! dining packages for certain restaurants will be available to purchase for performances happening November 30 and beyond.
