‘Mufasa: The Lion King’ Prequel Sets Release


The Lion King prequel has officially landed a title and release window. Part of Disney and Pixar’s 2022 D23 Expo panel, Mufasa: The Lion King will premiere in theaters in 2024.

Originally announced in 2019 after the release of the live-action Lion King, Mufasa: The Lion King tells the story of Mufasa and his brother Scar’s childhoods before things went awry and Mufasa took hold of the mantle.
