AMC’s streaming service Shudder is the place to go for all things horror, thrills, and supernatural. Raven’s Hollow is their newest original movie and the trailer for the gothic horror, based on the life of Edgar Allan Poe, has been released!

Raven’s Hollow follows the story of military Cadet Edgar Allan Poe, played by William Moseley, along with four other cadets while they take part in a training mission. While traveling, they come upon a man horribly wounded and close to death hanging on a wooden rack. As the man dies, his final words direct them to a nearby town that they believe could hold the answers to this sinister murder. Poe soon finds himself captivated by the Innkeeper’s daughter Charlotte, played by Melanie Zanetti. The cadets find themselves fueled by the resident’s refusal to talk about the murdered man. In his desperate search for answers, Poe will find himself facing a terror that will haunt him for the rest of his life.

Raven’s Hollow is a rare film that takes viewers on a journey exploring the early days of Poe’s life many haven’t seen before. Director Christopher Hatton brings together history with fiction to create a truly unique movie. This film uses dark gothic imagery while bringing the supernatural into the usual period drama genre. Alongside Hatton, Chuck Reeves joins as a co-writer, with producers Caroline Stern for Canoe Film, Andrejs Ekis for Cinevilla Studios, and Todd Lundbohm and Mark Andrews for 828 Media Capital.

Raven’s Hollow will have its world premiere at Arrow FrightFest 2022 in London on August 27th. The film will be available to stream exclusively on Shudder Thursday, September 22nd. Make sure to follow Nerds & Beyond to stay up to date!
