Audiences will have to wait a bit longer to see the small screen return of the Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hero Cassian Andor, who is set to make a comeback with Lucasfilm’s upcoming Disney+ series Andor. The premiere date has been moved from August 31 to September 21. In the meantime, following the release of a teaser during Star Wars Celebration in May, the official trailer has now been revealed!

Andor, which is set five years prior to Rogue One, sees the return of Diego Luna’s Cassian Andor. The series will explore a new perspective from the Star Wars galaxy, focusing on Cassian’s journey to discover the difference he can make. The series brings forward the tale of the burgeoning rebellion against the Empire and how people and planets became involved. It’s an era filled with danger, deception and intrigue where Cassian will embark on the path that is destined to turn him into a rebel hero.

In addition to Luna, the cast of Andor includes Genevieve O’Reilly, Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller, and Fiona Shaw.

Lucasfilm

Created by Tony Gilroy, the series is executive produced by Gilroy, Luna, Kathleen Kennedy, Sanne Wohlenberg, and Michelle Rejwan.

The 12-episode first season of Andor will land exclusively on Disney+ on September 21 with a three-episode premiere!
