‘The Flash’: Season 9 To Be Its Last

The CW has announced that season 9 of The Flash will mark the end of the longest-running Arrowverse/CWverse show. The final season will be 13 episodes long.

Not much is known about the last season as of yet, but the regularly starring cast of Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Danielle Nicolet, Brandon McKnight, Kayla Compton, and Jesse L. Martin will make appearances. There is no word as to if any faces from the past will be showing up, though it’s not an absurd assumption to make.

With the end of The Flash drawing nigh and only two other DC shows, Superman & Lois and Stargirl, set for The CW’s programming, one has to wonder what’s next for the network, especially after the sale earlier this year. Will we see a return to The WB-era steamy dramas or a completely new direction as the era of The CW superheroes ends? Only time will tell.

The Flash season 9 premieres midseason 2023. Stay tuned for more updates.
