Prime Video has released the trailer for A League of Their Own series, which is set to debut on the streaming service next month.

The series, which is a reboot of the classic 1992 film of the same name, takes you through the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League (AAGPBL) during World War II.

While the title and the premise are the same (it is based on a true story), the names of the characters we follow are not. One thing that the series also seems to be doing that is different than the film is the inclusion of Black women and their journey around the league at this time. One easter egg that seems to appear in the trailer is when Carson Shaw (Abbi Jacobson) tries to catch the train as it departs, similarly to how Geena Davis’ Dottie Hinson did in the original film.

Alongside Jacobson, the series also stars Chanté Adams, D’Arcy Carden, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Roberta Colindrez, Kelly McCormack, Priscilla Delgado, Molly Ephraim,
Melanie Field, and Nick Offerman.

A League of Their Own series is set to land on Prime Video on August 12. Watch the trailer below!
