‘Big Sky’: Henry Ian Cusick, Luke Mitchell, and More Join Cast
Big Sky will gain several new recurring cast members for season 3! Henry Ian Cusick, Luke Mitchell, Anirudh Pisharody, Madalyn Horcher, and Seth Gabel will all join the cast, while J. Anthony Pena has been upgraded from a recurring character to a series regular. Mitchell will play Cormac, who helps his mother Sunny (Reba McEntire) run their wilderness excursion business. Their ill-fated trip will include tech executive Avery (Cusick) along with birthday boy Luke and his girlfriend Paige (Pisharody and Horcher). Gabel will play Walter, a mysterious and solitary figure who lives alone in the woods and has a connection to the campers.
Pena had previously recurred as Jenny’s partner, Deputy Mo Poppernak, for 16 episodes. Jamie-Lynn Sigler was also previously announced as moving from recurring to series regular, while Jensen Ackles will also feature as a series regular this season after making his first appearance in the season 2 finale. According to Deadline, season 3 is set to focus on a new mystery as Cassie (Kylie Bunbury), Jenny (Katheryn Winnick), and new sheriff Beau Arlen (Ackles) uncover what really happened on a camping trip gone wrong.
Big Sky returns Wednesday, Sept. 21st at 10 p.m. ET on ABC. You can catch up on the first two seasons now on Hulu.
