Sebastian Stan Joins Cast of A24 Thriller ‘A Different Man’

It appears that Sebastian Stan will continue to harness his ability to dig his teeth into thrillers, as he is now set to star in A24’s upcoming psychological thriller A Different Man, which comes from Aaron Schimberg (Chained for Life). The Marvel Studios star, renowned for his long term portrayal of the hero Bucky Barnes, caught the attention of audiences this year with his dark, chilling performance in Mimi Cave’s Fresh.

Stan will be joined by Renate Reinsve (The Worst Person in the World) and Adam Pearson (Chained for Life). As per Deadline, the film follows an outcast named Edward, who undergoes facial reconstructive surgery while looking for a fresh start in life. However, when he discovers a stage production based on his former life, he comes obsessed with the actor portraying him. Production is set to begin on the film in July.

A Different Man is produced by A24, Christine Vachon and Gabriel Mayers of Killer Films, Vanessa McDonnell of Grand Motel Films, and Jason Reif. Stan serves as an executive producer.

Lindsey joined the Nerds and Beyond team in 2018. If she's not writing or out and about with her camera, she's probably watching anime, nerding out over Star Wars, reading manga, and definitely forgetting to water her plants. And waiting for the Genshin loading screen to pop up. Contact:
