Blessed day. Hulu has announced the season 5 release date for its original series The Handmaid’s Tale! The upcoming season will premiere on the streamer on Wednesday, September 14.
The news comes about a year after the season 4 finale. When we last saw our characters, June and a handful of other escaped handmaids finally got their revenge on Fred Waterford and killed him. After, June said her goodbyes to Nichole and Luke as she prepared to flee once more. Meanwhile, Serena gets ready for a call with Fred but receives a package containing his finger. Season 5 is set to pick up after these events.
The Handmaid’s Tale stars Elisabeth Moss, Max Minghella, O-T Fagbenle, Yvonne Strahovski, Ann Dowd, Madeline Brewer, Samira Wiley, Amanda Brugel, Bradley Whitford, Joseph Fiennes, and more. Alexis Bledel will not return for season 5, and Christine Ko joins the cast.
