The teaser opens with a voiceover from Charlize Theron’s Lady Lesso, teasing the story to come with accompanying footage of the fantastical elements and the school itself. We also see the movie’s two leads, Sophia Anne Caruso and Sofia Wylie, as their characters are swept away to the school. Watch the full teaser below.

Adapted from Chainani’s bestselling series, The School for Good and Evil follows best friends Sophie and Agatha, two children who become enrolled into the School for Good and Evil, where ordinary kids are trained to become fairy-tale heroes or villains. Sophie has always dreamed of becoming a hero and has a good deed track record to prove it. Meanwhile, Agatha seems more of a natural fit for a villain. But when it’s time for placement, the girls find their roles reversed, and they’ll soon discover who they are while their friendship is tested.

The School for Good and Evil stars Sofia Wylie and Sophia Anne Caruso as Agatha and Sophie, respectively. Additional cast includes Laurence Fishburne as The School Master, Charlize Theron as Lady Lesso (Dean for the School of Evil), Kerry Washington as Professor Dovey (Dean for the School of Good), Michelle Yeoh as Professor Anemone, Mark Heap as Professor Manley, Jamie Flatters, Freya Parks, and more. Paul Feig directed the screenplay from David Magee and Laura Solon.

The School for Good and Evil releases on Netflix this September. While you wait, check out Chainani’s book series, available for purchase here.
