Summer is nearly here and Prime Video is getting us ready with the first trailer for their adaptation of Jenny Han’s The Summer I Turned Pretty.

The streamer’s new series, based on Han’s bestselling young adult novel of the same title, will premiere in just over two weeks on June 17. The trailer teases everything fans love about the series including Belly’s sarcastic personality, the tension between the boys, and the excitement, or lack thereof, about Belly being a debutant. So get ready to experience the highs and lows of first love, first heartbreak, and everything else that comes with growing up as we follow Belly (Lola Tung) through the summer she turns pretty.

Fans of the book series should be excited for the show, as Han is serving as co-showrunner — she even wrote the pilot. So rest easy knowing that Belly’s story about turning pretty and finding herself in a love triangle with brothers Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) is in good hands.
