‘The Black Phone’ Releases New Featurette

Director Scott Derrickson’s new film, The Black Phone, has horror fans excited. A behind-the-scenes featurette has been released to get viewers ready for the June 24 debut.

The Black Phone stars Oscar nominee Ethan Hawke in his most terrifying role to date. The dreadful story begins with 13-year-old Finney Shaw. Finney, played by Mason Thames in his first role, is shy but surprisingly clever. Soon things take a turn for the worse when a sadistic killer abducts him. Finney finds himself trapped in a soundproof basement where screaming is useless. In this basement, there is a disconnected phone on the wall; shock will run through your veins as it begins to ring. Through the phone, the previous victims of Hawke’s killer can be heard. These tortured souls are set on making sure that Finney doesn’t have the same fate as they did.

The Black Phone is based on the award-winning short story, Ghosts by Joe Hill. The film’s screenplay is in good hands with Doctor Strange and Sinister franchise writers Derrickson & C. Robert Cargill. No need to wait for June 24 fans can grab their tickets early on the film’s website. To stay up to date, make sure to follow The Black Phone on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
