‘Star Wars: Visions’ Volume 2 Confirmed, Coming 2023

Last year, Star Wars had its first formal anime venture with Visions, a nine-episode anthology series. Today, as a part of a weekend full of announcements at Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, California, it was announced that Star Wars: Visions will return next spring with Volume 2, exclusively streaming on Disney+.

The first season of Visions offered viewers a wide variety of bite-sized stories set in the world of Star Wars, exploring the Jedi, Sith, and everything else in between across a galaxy far, far away. Read our review here.

The anime studios that contributed their own signature animation and storytelling styles for the first season include Kamikaze Douga, Geno Studio (Twin Engine), Studio Colorido (Twin Engine), TRIGGER, Kinema Citrus, Science Saru, and Production I.G. It remains to be seen which studios will be participating to the next season.

The first season of Star Wars: Visions is currently streaming on Disney+.

Star Wars: Celebration treated fans to an array of announcements for the franchise of the course of the weekend, including the release window for The Mandalorian season 3, the Andor trailer and release date, the introduction of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, and much more.
