The official trailer for Universal Pictures’ movie Beast starring Idris Elba has been released.
Elba plays Dr. Nate Daniels, who is hunted by a lion after coming back to South Africa after the death of his wife with his two daughters:
A father and his two teenage daughters find themselves hunted by a massive rogue lion intent on proving that the Savanna has but one apex predator.

Sharlto Copley, Iyana Halley (The Hate U Give), and Leah Sava Jeffries (Empire) star in Beast alongside Elba. The movie is written by Ryan Engle based on an original story by Jaime Primak Sullivan. Baltasar Kormákur directed Beast and also produced it alongside James Lopez and Will Packer. Executive producers are Jaime Primak Sullivan and Bernard Bellew.
Beast will be released in theaters on August 19.
