While it was only just a matter of time before the Town of Riverdale had finally had enough, The CW has confirmed that Riverdale will end after its upcoming seventh season.

The series, which was first described as a darker take on the beloved Archie Comics series, spawned a one-season spinoff, Katy Keene, which followed Ashleigh Murray’s Josie McCoy in New York. The current sixth season of Riverdale saw Kiernan Shipka reprise her role as Sabrina Spellman from Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

From the Black Hood, Gargoyle King, the Farm, Stonies, TBK, and much, much more, Riverdale will likely go out with a bang. Season 7 won’t be premiering on The CW until midseason, but season 6, which aired episode 100 earlier in the season, still has plenty of episodes left to air.

New episodes of Riverdale air on Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on The CW! Check out our other Riverdale coverage here, and stay tuned to Nerds and Beyond for more updates!
