The CW has announced the fall schedule ahead of the Upfronts today, and Walker and Walker: Independence are scheduled to air back-to-back.

Walker will air on Thursdays at 8 p.m., while Walker: Independence, the Walker prequel, will air directly after it at 9 p.m.

Here’s the synopsis for Walker: Independence:

Set in the late 1800s, an origin story of The CWā€™s current hit series ā€œWalker,ā€ WALKER INDEPENDENCE follows Abby Walker (Katherine McNamara, ā€œArrowā€), an affluent and tough-minded Bostonian whose husband is murdered before her eyes while on their journey out West. After crossing paths with Calian (Justin Johnson Cortez, ā€œ911: Lone Starā€), a curious Apache tracker, Abby arrives in the town of Independence, Texas, where she encounters diverse and eclectic residents running from their pasts, chasing their dreams, and keeping their own secrets, including Kate Carver (Katie Findlay, ā€œThe Carrie Diariesā€), an idiosyncratic burlesque dancer with perhaps too keen an interest in Abbyā€™s origins, and Kai (Lawrence Kao, ā€œWu Assassinsā€), a soulful Chinese immigrant who runs a local restaurant/laundry and offers Abby friendship without agenda. Abby also literally runs into Hoyt Rawlins (Matt Barr, ā€œWalkerā€), a slippery rogue, thief, and con artist with a dented heart of gold who quickly eyes Abby as a mark, until she turns the tables on him. In seeking justice for her husband, Abby encounters Independenceā€™s noble deputy sheriff, Augustus (Philemon Chambers, ā€œSingle All the Wayā€), and his new boss, Sheriff Tom Davidson (Greg Hovanessian, ā€œAnother Lifeā€), who she has reason to believe is a very bad man indeed. Abby and Hoyt soon find themselves precariously aligned, both seeking to uncover the truth about the identity of Abbyā€™s husbandā€™s killer, and vow to save Independence ā€“ a frontier boomtown where nothing is what it seems.

Walker stars Jared Padalecki, Ashley Reyes, Mitch Pileggi, Keegan Allen, Molly Hagan, Coby Bell, Odette Annable, and Jeff Pierre. Padalecki also serves as executive producer.

Walker: Independence stars Katherine McNamara, Matt Barr, Philemon Chambers, Katie Findlay, Lawrence Kao, Greg Hovanessian, and Justin Johnson Cortez. Jared Padalecki, Anna Fricke, Seamus Fahey, Larry Teng, Dan Lin, Lindsay Liberatore, and Laura Terry produced the series, with Teng directing the pilot episode.

Walker is set to end its second season on June 23.
