The Scarlet Speedster is racing to The CW for season 9, set to premiere midseason for the 2022-23 season.

Currently in its eighth season, The Flash follows Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) as the titular DC superhero after getting struck by lightning due to a particle accelerator explosion. With the help of his friends, The Flash and co. protect Central City from metahumans and other evil forces.

With the upcoming ninth season, the series will soon be the longest-running series in the Arrowverse, after flagship series Arrow ended its 8-season run in 2020 with 170 episodes.

New episodes of The Flash air on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. EST on The CW, with season 9 heading to the network midseason! Check out our other coverage on The Flash here.
