ABC has put in a series order for a spinoff of The Rookie. The show, The Rookie: Feds, will be led by actress Niecy Nash following her character, Simone Clark, as the FBI’s oldest trainee. Simone was introduced along with several other new characters in the two-part backdoor pilot that aired towards the end of the fourth season of The Rookie.
Frankie Faison will be joining as Simone’s dad, Christopher “Cutty” Clark. Felix Solis will also be returning as Special Agent Matthew Garza.
