Two new clips for Peacock’s Firestarter remake have been released ahead of the May 13 premiere.

In the first clip, Andy (Zac Efron) tries to diffuse the situation before it can escalate any further. However, Charlie (Ryan Kiera Armstrong) taps into her abilities through anger to escape her captor’s hold.

The second clip shows Charlie defying her father, refusing to hide her powers any longer as she blows the door off of a house they are hiding out in.

Firestarter is a remake of the 1984 horror sci-fi film of the aforementioned name based on Stephen King’s popular novel. Firestarter sees a girl with extraordinary pyrokinetic powers fight to protect her family and herself from sinister forces that seek to capture and control her. The film also stars Sydney Lemmon, Kurtwood Smith, John Beasley, with Michael Greyeyes, and Gloria Reuben.

Firestarter premieres May 13 on Peacock as well as select theaters.
