In March, Hulu confirmed that Searchlight Pictures’ satirical comedy Not Okay starring Zoey Deutch and Dylan O’Brien would release in August. An update has been provided that pushes the movie’s release date up an entire week. Not Okay will now premiere on Hulu on July 29, 2022.

Not Okay follows a misguided woman desperate for friends and fame. In order to gain a following on her social media platforms, she fakes a trip to Paris. When her trip doesn’t go as planned due to her warped reality shifting, something real happens that gives her every ounce of attention she wanted.

Deutch and O’Brien’s costars include Embeth Davidtz, Nadia Alexander, Tia Dionne Hodge, Karan Soni Mia Isaac, and Negin Farsad. The film is written and directed by Quinn Shephard (Midnight Sun).
