Trailer for ‘The Black Phone’ Released
The trailer for Ethan Hawke’s upcoming movie The Black Phone is out now. You can watch it below:
The Black Phone is a horror movie based on a short story by Joe Hill from his bestseller 20th Century Ghosts.
The phone is dead. And it’s ringing.
Director Scott Derrickson returns to his terror roots and partners again with the foremost brand in the genre, Blumhouse, with a new horror thriller. Finney Shaw, a shy but clever 13-year-old boy, is abducted by a sadistic killer and trapped in a soundproof basement where screaming is of little use. When a disconnected phone on the wall begins to ring, Finney discovers that he can hear the voices of the killer’s previous victims. And they are dead set on making sure that what happened to them doesn’t happen to Finney.
Hawke is joined by Madeleine McGraw, Jeremy Davies, James Ransone, and Mason Thames in his first movie role.
Scott Derrickson produced and directed The Black Phone. The screenplay was written by Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill, produced by Derrickson and Cargill’s Crooked Highway, and presented by Universal and Blumhouse. Jason Blum also serves as producer. Executive producers are Ryan Turek and Christopher H. Warner.
The Black Phone will be out in theaters on June 24.
