Sony Announces Spider-Man Villain ‘El Muerto’ Film Starring Bad Bunny

Sony dropped some big news for Spider-Man fans today! During their CinemaCon panel, it was announced El Muerto is going to be added to the Sony Spider-Man Universe. In addition, Latin recording artist Bad Bunny has been cast in the titular role. The arrival of the character will mark the first Latin superhero to get their own film in the Sony Spider-Man Universe. El Muerto will join a host of other Sony Spider-Man Universe films, including Venom, and Morbius.

Aside from being cast as El Muerto, you can see Bad Bunny in the upcoming films Bullet Train with Brad Pitt and Sandra Bullock, as well as American Sole with Camila Mendes.

The El Muerto film will release in theaters on January 12, 2024.
