Chastain Park Memorial Hospital has been without the heart of the hospital, Nicolette Nevin, for three years now (though for fans, it’s only been since the beginning of the current season). However, that’s changing as Emily VanCamp will be coming back for the upcoming season finale!
Co-showrunner Peter Elkoff told TVLine that VanCamp will appear in a few flashback scenes in the May 17 finale. The flashbacks will take place shortly after the birth of GiGi, as Conrad continues to struggle to move on from the love of his life.
The Falcon & Winter Soldier star announced her departure from the FOX medical drama ahead of the season 5 premiere last summer. And in turn, the series decided to kill off Nic in the form of a car accident and jump ahead three years.
