FaZe Santana has recently partnered with Irish Spring for the Nice-Smelling Gaming Shower. The Irish Spring Nice-Smelling Gaming Shower features a transparent plexiglass exterior and a classic gamer’s chair within. The shower will operate with a wash cycle featuring Irish Spring Body Wash, plus a massage.
The partnership and the Nice-Smelling Gaming Shower were released in a stream on Twitch, which you can see here.
FaZe Santana is part of the popular influential gaming organization FaZe Clan, where he joined with his friends (FaZe Swagg, FaZe Booya and FaZe JSmooth), known as the Nuke Squad. They primarily play Call of Duty: Warzone, where they gained popularity for their gameplay, upbeat attitudes, and drive to be positive and have fun.
We got the chance to ask FaZe Santana a few questions about the partnership, which you can read below.
Nerds and Beyond: Congrats on your partnership with Irish Spring! Can you talk a little bit about how it came about, and how excited you were to partner with them?
FaZe Santana: Thank you. I was really excited when Irish Spring reached out to me asking if I could be part of their latest creation, the Nice-Smelling Gaming Shower. I’ve grown up using Irish Spring all my life, so for this to come full circle and work with them has been so cool. After I saw their new commercial, I knew they were doing something different with the brand. When they reached out they said they wanted to get into gaming because 1-in-5 gamers have admitted to skipping a shower (I won’t mention names, but you know who you are) just so they didn’t have to put the controller down. That’s when I knew this was the perfect fit for me.
Nerds and Beyond: How much fun was it to film the videos, and did you see any concepts ahead of time, or was everything a complete surprise of what it looked like/what was going to be in the shower?
FaZe Santana: It was such a blast. They didn’t show me anything before I got there, so the entire experience was a surprise. I think everyone who watched the stream saw that and it helped build suspense since we all went through the experience together and none of us knew what to expect. I just wish everyone watching could have smelled the nice smells I did while I was there.
Nerds and Beyond: So, there are still more exciting things coming up. Can you expand a bit or tease more on what you have planned?
FaZe Santana: We have an awesome video that shows the entire experience and tells the story of why Irish Spring even made the Nice-Smelling Gaming Shower. That video will drop on my stream on April 30, which is actually, no joke, National Sense of Smell Day. Irish Spring will also be hosting a sweepstakes for fans to enter to win a chance to fly out to attend DreamHack Dallas, one of the most iconic gaming events.
Nerds and Beyond: What has been your favorite part of this whole experience?
FaZe Santana: The coolest thing about this experience was the mystery to it. It was actually like a real-life quest. I literally had no idea where I was going or what to expect when I was invited to be the first person to experience the Nice-Smelling Gaming Shower. The first part of the space I walked through was a classic stinky gamer’s room, [with] old food on the floor, and dirty clothes everywhere. The smell reminded me of those long nights grinding the newest Call of Duty that just got released. When I left that room, the space really opened up and had a ton of greenery and fresh smells in the air leading me to the gaming shower. They even had that soap carver there from the commercial, which was crazy! It was really cool to see this all come together and is definitely an experience I won’t forget.
Nerds and Beyond: Personally, I’ve been a fan of yours since even before FaZe, and it’s so exciting to see how much you’ve grown and your continued success! What has the journey been like for you?
FaZe Santana: I’m humbled, thank you for the support! It has been an absolutely insane ride so far. I’ve been gaming for so many years, and for me and my closest group of friends to get recruited by FaZe, who I’ve watched for over a decade, was surreal. Every day I get to do what I love the most, so I’ve just been taking each new adventure one at a time with a smile on my face. The grind never stops!
