Tom Hiddleston to Star in New Apple Limited Series ‘The White Darkness’

Share

Tom Hiddleston has signed on for another limited series with Apple TV+, The White Darkness.

Based on the true story by David Grann, Hiddleston will star as Henry Worsley, a former soldier desperate for an adventure. A devoted husband and father with deep convictions and dedication to honor, Worsley sets off on an epic journey across Antarctica … on foot. The series is being developed by Pachinko‘s Soo Hugh with Mark Heyman, best known as the writer of Black Swan, serving as co-showrunner.

Hiddleston, best known for his work as Loki throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2011, has another Apple limited series premiering on the service next month, The Essex Serpent. He will also begin work on Loki season 2 — the only MCU live-action series thus far that’s gotten a multi-season order — with production rumored to begin this summer.
