Apple TV+ has released a new first-look image and a release date for their upcoming series The Essex Serpent starring Claire Danes and Tom Hiddleston.
The Essex Serpent follows London widow Cora Seaborne (Claire Danes) who moves to Essex to investigate reports of a mythical serpent. She forms an unlikely bond with the village vicar (Tom Hiddleston), but when tragedy strikes, locals accuse her of attracting the creature.
Clio Barnard directs the Anna Symon script adapted from the novel of the same name by Sarah Perry. Frank Dillane (Fear the Walking Dead), Haley Squires (Adult Material), Clémence Poésy (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire), and Jamael Westman (Anne Boleyn) also star.
The Essex Serpent will premiere exclusively on Apple TV+ on Friday, May 13, 2022.
