‘CODA’ Will Have Limited Theater Run After Oscar Victory

After CODA‘s groundbreaking wins (including Best Picture) at this year’s Academy Awards, Apple TV+ has announced limited theater screenings for the film nationwide. All screenings will be open captioned for accessibility.

CODA follows Ruby (Emilia Jones), the only hearing child in a Deaf family (Marlee Matlin, Troy Kotsur, and Daniel Durant). Ruby must decide whether to pursue her dreams of being a singer or remain at home to help her family’s struggling fishing business. The film won all three of the Oscars it was nominated for (Best Picture, Best Adapted Screenplay for Sian Heder, and Best Supporting Actor for Kotsur).

You can find the locations for each screening here. Check out our article on CODA’s historic Oscar victories!
