‘Oppenheimer’: Alex Wolff Joins Packed All-Star Cast Of Upcoming Christopher Nolan Film
Alex Wolff has joined the cast of Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film Oppenheimer.
Filming for this project has been underway in New Mexico for a few weeks now, though cast members are still being added. Wolff’s role in the film is not being revealed.
Oppenheimer is a World War II-era biopic that will follow J. Robert Oppenheimer, the scientist who ran the Manhattan Project that led to the invention of the atomic bomb.
Nolan’s Oppenheimer stars Cillian Murphy as J. Robert Oppenheimer. In addition to Murphy, Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr., Matt Damon, Florence Pugh, Rami Malek, Jack Quaid, Benny Safdie, Alden Ehrenreich, David Krumholtz, David Dastmalchian, and now Wolff are all confirmed for the cast. In addition to directing, Nolan will also produce alongside Emma Thomas and Atlas Entertainment’s Charles Roven. The film is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer by Kai Bird and the late Martin J. Sherwin, though Nolan also penned the script.
The film is currently set to release July 21, 2023, roughly two weeks before the anniversary of the dropping of the atomic bomb on Hiroshima.
