From the first time he appeared on our screen in Shrek 2, the character of Puss in Boots stole our hearts and came back in the two following Shrek movies and his own movie in 2011. Puss is finally back for a new adventure in Puss in Boots: The Last Wish set to premiere on September 23.

In Puss in Boots: The Last Wish, the hero, on the last of his nine lives, is about to embark on a new adventure in the Black Forest to find the Wishing Star and to get back the eight lives he lost:

Puss in Boots discovers that his passion for adventure has taken its toll: he has burned through eight of his nine lives. Puss sets out on an epic journey to find the mythical Last Wish and restore his nine lives.

The upcoming movie is directed by Joel Crawford and produced by Mark Swift. Chris Meleandri, Illumination founder and CEO is the film’s executive producer is Illumination founder and CEO Chris Meledandri. 

Antonio Banderas is back as the voice of Puss and Salma Hayek plays Kitty Soft Paws, Puss’s former partner. Puss and Kitty are joined by Perro (Harvey Guillén). Together, they will face multiples enemies: Goldilocks (Florence Pugh) and the Three Bears Crime Family, “Big” Jack Horner (John Mulaney) and The Big Bad Wolf (Wagner Moura).

Olivia Colman, Ray Winstone, Samson, Anthony Mendez and Da’Vine Joy Randolph are also part of the cast.
