‘Ted Lasso’ Sweeps at the Critics Choice Awards

TELEVISIONAPPLE TV+'Ted Lasso' Sweeps at the Critics Choice Awards

Apple TV+’s sensational series Ted Lasso has won all four of their nominated awards at the Critics Choice Awards show.

Ted Lasso is no stranger to awards shows, being nominated (and winning) many of Hollywood’s most prestigious gold from its very first season and beyond. At the Critics Choice Awards, the series took home four awards:

  • Best Comedy Series
  • Best Actor in a Comedy Series – Jason Sudeikis
  • Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series – Brett Goldstein
  • Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series – Hannah Waddingham

Last season, the show took a deep dive into the struggles surrounding mental health in the world of sports. And although the content was heavy, the series did a phenomenal job of lightening the load while not watering down its lessons. Ted Lasso is consistently praised for its feel-good, positive tone, a rarity in TV and real-life in present times.

The series also stars Brendan Hunt, Jeremy Swift, Juno Temple, Phil Dunster, Nick Mohammed, and more. Season 3 of the series is currently filming, and while no release date is set one can only hope it debuts this year after that cliffhanger ending in season 2.

Seasons 1 and 2 of Ted Lasso are now streaming exclusively on Apple TV+, and a third season is on the way. In case you missed it, catch up on our season 2 episodic recaps and review!
