Ariana DeBose Takes Home SAG Award For ‘West Side Story’

Ariana DeBose has won her first Screen Actors Guild Award for West Side Story! This year has been a breakthrough for DeBose, who has swept nearly every Best Supporting Actress award category she has been nominated in. Her turn as Anita in the critically acclaimed musical has been universally praised, landing DeBose her first Oscar nomination.

West Side Story is set to release on Disney+ (and HBO Max in the U.S.) on March 2 after an exclusive theatrical run. Aside from DeBose, the film stars Rachel Zegler, David Alvarez, Mike Faist, Ansel Elgort, and Rita Moreno amid a large ensemble cast. You can read our original review of the film here!
