West Side Story received seven Academy Awards nominations this morning! The film itself was nominated for Best Picture, while Steven Spielberg was honored for the seventh time in the Best Director category. Ariana DeBose continued her consistent domination in the category by landing her first Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
The film also received nominations for Best Cinematography, Best Costume Design, Best Production Design, and Best Sound. The Academy Awards are set to take place on March 27, 2022. You can find the full list of nominations here.
