Sometimes it seems that Dolly Parton does it all, and today her resume continues to grow as she announces her own baking line.
Parton has always shared stories about her love of baking and thanks to a partnership with Duncan Hines, she’s now sharing that passion with her fans.
Her “Dolly’s Southern Favorites” line will officially launch in March, with products including a variety of baking mixes and frostings inspired by Parton family recipes, a tea towel, a spatula, recipe cards and more. With Southern Style Coconut and Southern Style Banana flavored cakes, plus coordinating frostings (all retailing roughly $2 a piece), this will be a taste of the south in your home just in time for spring.
Currently, a limited number of e-commerce kits are available to fans here. For $40 (plus shipping and handling), customers will get a tea towel and spatula, both mixes and frostings, custom recipe cards and a note from Parton herself.

The baking line comes at a busy time for Patron, as a book she co-authored with James Patterson, Run, Rose Run, and its companion album are set to release in March as well. The album will be out March 4, and according to Parton herself it will be a call back to traditional country and bluegrass music.
