Ted Lasso still
Apple TV+

Ted Lasso continues to rack up award nominations as the hit Apple TV+ series secures five SAG nominations in three categories.

Brett Goldstein and Jason Sudeikis are both up for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series, and Hannah Waddingham and Juno Temple compete in Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series. The entire cast was also recognized as they nabbed Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series as well.

The series follows American college football coach Ted Lasso as he embarks on a new career path, a soccer coach for AFC Richmond in England. And he knows nothing about soccer. Gearing up to begin filming its third season, the series has become one of the greatest airing today. Its overwhelmingly positive messaging paired with the tactical dismantling of toxic masculinity and portrayals of the mental health struggles both in sports and beyond has earned it a place amongst the best series of our generation.

Ted Lasso is no stranger to awards, with the series picking up wins with ease, and for good reason. The show airs exclusively on Apple TV+.

You can watch the 28th annual SAG Awards February 27 at 8 p.m. EST on TBS and TNT. Check out all the nominees here!
