This Friday, January 7, fans of Sebastian Stan can look forward to catching the actor bright and early on Good Morning America! Stan is best known for his longstanding role as James “Bucky” Barnes aka the Winter Soldier in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, most recently starring in the Disney+ series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

His appearance on Friday coincides with the release date of his upcoming film The 355. In this spy thriller, a top-secret weapon falls into mercenary hands, and wild card CIA agent Mason “Mace” Brown (Jessica Chastain) will need to join forces with rival badass German agent Marie (Diane Kruger), former MI6 ally and cutting-edge computer specialist Khadijah (Lupita Nyong’o), and skilled Colombian psychologist Graciela (Penélope Cruz) on a lethal, breakneck mission to retrieve it, while also staying one step ahead of a mysterious woman, Lin Mi Sheng (Bingbing Fan), who is tracking their every move.

As the action rockets around the globe from the cafes of Paris to the markets of Morocco to the opulent auction houses of Shanghai, the quartet of women will forge a tenuous loyalty that could protect the world — or get them killed. Stan stars as Mace’s colleague, CIA agent Nick Fowler.

Stan has plenty more on the way, including Fresh, which is set to premiere this month at Sundance Film Festival. Starring alongside Daisy Edgar-Jones, this thriller is an intoxicating ride, nesting a penetrating thriller about the perils women face on the modern dating scene within a ferocious allegory for the commodification of their bodies.

Next month, Stan’s wild transformation into rock legend Tommy Lee of Mötley Crüe will finally be revealed in the eight-part Hulu Original limited series Pam & Tommy. Premiering on the streaming service on February 2, the show will explore the intersection of privacy, technology, and celebrity by tracing the origins of the world’s current Reality TV Era back to a stolen sex tape that was seen by millions but meant to have an audience of just two.
