‘Ambulance’: New Poster Races Onto Screens Featuring Jake Gyllenhaal, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II & Eiza González

Ambulance is going to be one hell of a ride, and ahead of the film’s release in February 2022, a new poster has been unveiled.

Ambulance stars Emmy winner Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (Candyman) as decorated veteran Will Sharp, who is desperate for money to cover his wife’s medical bills. Due to desperation, Will asks for help from the one person he knows he shouldn’t — his adoptive brother Danny, brought to the screen by Oscar nominee Jake Gyllenhaal (The Guilty). A charming career criminal, Danny instead offers Will an opportunity to solve all of his financial problems: the biggest bank heist in Los Angeles history. To save his wife, Will can’t say no.

The “simple” heist goes disastrously wrong, and the remainder of the film follows the desperate brothers as they hijack an ambulance with a wounded cop clinging to life and ace EMT Cam Thompson portrayed by Eiza González (Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw) onboard. In a high-speed pursuit, Will and Danny must evade a massive law enforcement response, keep their hostages alive, and try not to kill each other, all while executing the most insane escape L.A. has ever seen.

Ambulance is produced by Michael Bay, Bradley J. Fischer (Zodiac) for New Republic Pictures, James Vanderbilt (2022’s Scream), and William Sherak (2022’s Scream) for Project X, and Oscar nominee Ian Bryce (Private Ryan). The screenplay is by Chris Fedak (Prodigal Son), based on the original story and screenplay for the 2005 Danish thriller Ambulancen by Laurits Munch-Petersen and Lars Andreas Pedersen. This is the second Danish remake Gyllenhaal will star in, following Netflix’s The Guilty.

Ambulance releases February 18, 2022. Check out the new poster below.
