TELEVISIONNETFLIX'The Witcher': Season 2 Premiere To Be Streamed December 1

Fans of Netflix’s series The Witcher have a date with destiny on Wednesday, December 1 at the show’s world premiere. Luckily, fans of the series will be able to tune in for the premiere via livestream via YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook. The event will stream beginning at 5:30 p.m. GMT.

The Witcher follows quite a few colorful characters living on the Continent, but primarily focuses on the Witcher himself: Geralt of Rivia (Henry Cavill). A monster killer-for-hire, Geralt travels the Continent to have coins tossed his way in exchange for hunting and killing many dangerous monsters. Geralt’s travels in season 1 introduced us to a variety of characters such as Geralt’s love interest, Yennefer of Vengerberg (Anya Chalotra), Ciri (Freya Allan), and fan-favorite Jaskier (Joey Batey).

Following season 1 nearly two years later, season 2 will come to Netflix December 17. Fans received the first full-length trailer during the TUDUM event in September, along with plenty of first looks at characters for the upcoming season. A new poster for season two also slashed its way onto screens today, pictured below.

As a reminder, the synopsis for season 2 is as follows:

“Convinced that Yennefer’s (Anya Chalotra) life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla (Freya Allan) to the safest place he knows — his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.”
