Disney and Pixar have released a new trailer for their upcoming film Turning Red. The film is from director Domee Shi (Pixar Short Bao) and produced by Lindsey Collins. The film’s voice actors include newcomer Rosalie Chiang, Sandra Oh, and Orion Lee. Swedish composer Ludwig Göransson known for Black Panther and The Mandalorian will be composing the score for the film.
Turning Red follows Mei Lee, a confident, dorky 13-year-old torn between staying a dutiful daughter and the chaos of becoming a teenager. Her protective, if not slightly overbearing mother, Ming, is never far from her daughter which causes an unfortunate reality for Mei. If the changes to her interests, relationships, and body weren’t enough, Mei discovers that when she gets too excited, she turns into a giant red panda!
