Based on the iconic early 2000s Disney Channel series The Proud Family, the revival sees the return of the series’ beloved characters including Penny Proud, LaCienega Boulevardez, and Suga Mama.

The cast includes Kyla Pratt as Penny Proud, JoMarie Payton as Suga Mama, Tommy Davidson as Oscar Proud, Paula Jai Parker as Trudy Proud, Karen Malina White as Dijonay Jones, Cedric the Entertainer as Uncle Bobby, Alvaro Gutierrez as Papi, Soleil Moon Frye as Zoey Howzer, Carlos Mencia as Felix Boulevardez, Maria Canals-Barrera as Sunset Boulevardez, and Alisa Reyes as LaCienega Boulevardez.

First introduced in 2001 The Proud Family followed the quirky and dysfunctional family and their everyday antics. The series championed diversity when it was lacking and the revival is no different. The series ran for four seasons, concluding in 2005. The series also produced a film, The Proud Family Movie.

The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder premieres on Disney+ in February 2022.
