Get ready for your home theater to get an upgrade, Disney+ is releasing 13 Marvel films in IMAX’s expanded aspect ratio.
Beginning this Friday, November 12, 13 Marvel titles will be available showcasing 26% more screen picture as Disney+ becomes the first streaming service to bring the extra action of IMAX to home screens.
The 13 films include:
- Iron Man
- Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1 & Vol 2
- Captain America: Civil War
- Doctor Strange
- Thor: Ragnarok
- Black Panther
- Avengers: Infinity War
- Ant-Man and the Wasp
- Captain Marvel
- Avengers: Endgame
- Black Widow
- Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings
Availability of titles may vary market to market according to Disney.

IMAX’s unique expanded ratio will bring more of the action to viewers at home, as seen in the photo above.
“Disney, Marvel Studios, and IMAX have collaborated for years to bring the world’s most popular films to the big screen, and on Friday we’ll start to bring IMAX technology to subscribers with IMAX Enhanced viewing in the Disney+ app,” Michael Paull, president of Disney+ and ESPN+ said of the collaboration.
Today marks day one of Disney+’s weeklong Disney+ week celebrating the 2-year anniversary of the streaming service. To begin the festivities, Disney is also offering one month priced at $1.99 for new and eligible returning subscribers. The price returns to the usual $7.99 after the first discounted month. The offer is available through November 14.
