L.A. Comic Con, Los Angeles’ largest event for comics, gaming, sci-fi, and pop culture, is proud to announce Liquid Avatar Technologies as its “Digital Innovation Partner” for this year’s event, set for December 3–5 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. L.A. Comic Con 2021 will be a beacon for the City of Angels’ revival and resurgence of in-person events, leading the way as the first full-scale Southern California convention of its kind since 2019.

In addition to fan-favorite offerings, L.A. Comic Con will continue to incorporate a new array of streaming content to grant virtual attendees access to live panels, talent meet-and-greets, and main stage and secondary panels.

In 2020, the L.A. Comic Con team held the first-ever Micro Con back in April, a live + digital event. The event featured virtual panels and meet-and-greets, collectibles, and an interactive digital Superfan Mall shopping experience. After developing new digital, virtual, and streaming content during the past year, it was a natural extension for L.A. Comic Con to partner with Liquid Avatar to continue strengthening its digital experience game for the return of our in-person event.

CEO of L.A. Comic Con’s parent company, Comikaze Entertainment, Chris DeMoulin, shared his excitement of the partnership in a press release:

“Liquid Avatar Technologies is a natural fit as Digital Innovation Partner for L.A. Comic Con as we welcome fans back in-person but still continue to develop our virtual and online offerings. We’re excited to integrate Liquid Avatar’s AR and digital identity tech while bringing creative, digital content to fans in a new, immersive way.”

CEO of Liquid Avatar Techonologies David Lucatch also spoke of the benefits of this opportunity:

“We’re thrilled to be named the Digital Innovation Partner for this year’s event. We’re huge fans of the Con scene and this event is a great platform to introduce our technology to a new, engaged audience and enhance the fan experience. We’re planning to announce and release some exciting brand-new, exclusive content. We hope this marks the beginning of a collaborative, long-term relationship.”

Liquid Avatar plans to showcase its technology through integrations and demonstrations of verifiable credentials, digital identity, unveiling new and exclusive projects, hosting panels and meet-and-greets with writers, artists, and industry icons, and is also creating and administering an Augmented Reality scavenger hunt in conjunction with its subsidiary, Oasis Digital Studios, to showcase a host of digital collectibles.

Tickets for L.A. Comic Con are on sale now.
