WATCH: SAG-AFTRA Foundation ‘Conversations at Home’ with Jake Gyllenhaal

On October 6, the SAG-AFTRA Foundation hosted a Q&A with actor and producer Jake Gyllenhaal as part of their Conversations at Home series. Variety’s Janelle Riley moderated the Q&A which covered everything from Gyllenhaal’s first role to his newest film, The Guilty.

The Guilty follows a troubled police detective (Gyllenhaal) following his demotion to 911 operator duty. The film transpires over the course of one evening as the former detective scrambles to save a distressed caller, a kidnapped woman voiced by Riley Keough. The thriller’s creative team is made up of director Antoine Fuqua (Training Day) and screenwriter Nic Pizzolatto (True Detective). The film is adapted from the 2018 Danish film of the same name.

The SAG-AFTRA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated that provides comprehensive, educational and state-of-the-art resources to SAG-AFTRA members.
