Walt Disney World is turning 50 years old soon, and they are releasing all sorts of surprises for the celebration! The Guardians of the Galaxy will be landing at EPCOT in a new rollercoaster adventure.

Disney announced that this new ride will be the first “outer-world” pavilion at the EPCOT park, which will be called Wonders of Xandar. Cosmic Rewind will be the first Marvel attraction at Walt Disney World Resort, while Avengers Campus became the first at Disneyland Resort.

Cosmic Rewind will also be the first coaster that has a reverse launch in all of the Disney Parks. Another feature that makes this roller coaster different is that the cars can rotate 360 degrees while going down the track, adding a whole new level to thrill rides!

No opening date in 2022 has been set, but construction is coming along nicely on the “story coaster.”
