WATCH: Jake Gyllenhaal Talks ‘The Guilty’ and More on ‘LIVE with Kelly and Ryan’

On September 28, Jake Gyllenhaal appeared on LIVE with Kelly and Ryan. He talked with host Kelly Ripa and guest host Mark Consuelos about The Guilty, broadway, running into Mysterio, and more. Check out the clips below!

Gyllenhaal has spent quite a bit of time on the broadway stage these past couple of years with Sea Wall/A Life and the planned Sunday in the Park with George before the pandemic began. In the clip above, the hosts were eager to see if Gyllenhaal plans to return to broadway soon.

Above, we see Gyllenhaal further discuss his broadway career. Specifically, we see the actor discuss the time he was almost able to cast his beloved German Shepherd, Leo, alongside him on the stage.

Following a clip from Gyllenhaal’s upcoming Netflix film The Guilty, the hosts ask the Brokeback Mountain actor for details on the upcoming film. Reluctant to give too much away about this thriller, Gyllenhaal is scarce with details as viewers can see above. The Guilty releases on Netflix October 1.

Following 2019’s Spider-Man: Far From Home in which Gyllenhaal starred as infamous villain Mysterio, Gyllenhaal recently ran into the villain himself while in Venice for the 2021 Venice International Film Festival. Check out the clip above to see the photos that came out of that interaction!

Be sure to check out The Guilty streaming on Netflix beginning October 1. LIVE with Kelly and Ryan airs weekdays on ABC.
