Any fan of Rick Riordan has been awaiting the release of his next book, Daughter of the Deep, but the bestselling author just announced that fans will need to wait just a little longer. Due to supply chain issues, Daughter of the Deep will now hit shelves on October 26, almost 3 weeks later than originally anticipated.

Most avid readers are aware of the ongoing struggle within the publishing industry, which is seeing more and more delays as paper demands and printing press spaces remain extremely tight. With the industry heading into the holiday season, delays are expected to continue through the end of year (and likely into early next year as well), so anyone who enjoys gifting books has been encouraged by many authors and bookstores to start their shopping early.
